Asociación Juvenil “Teatro y Risas” -Youth Exchange- 15th – 23th July 2010 Pamplona, Spain YARLEKU association wants to organize a youth exchange Teatro Y Risas, we want to encourage mutual tolerance and raise awareness of intercultural differences and conflicts. We want young people to share and see the conflicts between the various cultures that exist in society in the countries participating in the project. Only with the recognition and knowing these conflicts and problems we have in society today can dissolve. We use theatrical techniques to work these issues and make a final performance with this theme. Yarleku Assocation. Yarleku is an association that they work in the old helmet of Pamplona that uses the theater, music and in general the scenic and plastic arts to develop dynamic social and educational. Their main objectives are: The development of cultural and educational activities of formation in the leisure and the free time. To start and to energize cultural projects for young, inside artistic new tendencies. To lend social, educational and cultural services to the population's sectors in situation of risk and/or social difficulty. To develop, to promote and to collaborate in projects that develop the partner-educational participation and intercultural building encounter spaces and collective work. PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS The participants can be from EU countries and neighbor countries,. 4 + 1 leader for each organization AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The aims and objectives for the youth exchange are: - Allow express themselves using the skills of bodylanguage to overcome language barriers. - Using pantomime and improvisation skills in order to overcome the fear on stage. - Use dynamic Roleplay for intercultural learning and integration. - Introduce some theoretical / practical knowledge of theater and use them in the final presentation. - Introduction on stage, preparation, improve self-confidence. - Improve teamwork by different dynamics and use these activities and improvements to overcome the various conflicts in society. - Make a group and use this to intercultural learning. DATES 15 – 23 July 2010 Pamplona PROGRAMME Offer a comprehensive program of body language exercises, role-plays and skills, to encourage young people to make contact with other participants. Encourage group work in different sessions, to create a sense and an atmosphere of understanding. Later we want them to be involved more deeply into the stereotypes and prejudices and how to prevent potential conflicts through technical sessions of improvisational theater. We will realize a final performance with the things that we learned during the exchange. WORKING LANGUAGES The English language is foreseen as the working language of the Exchange. Participants must have sufficient understanding of the working language. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS Travel expenses are a heavy burden on the budget of the Youth Exchange. Participants are therefore required to arrange their journeys in the most economical manner possible. Irrespective of the means of the transport used, participants will be reimbursed 70% on the basis of the shortest and least expensive route between their place of residence and the city (Pamplona) in which the course is held. Return tickets must be purchased before the start of the journey. We will reimburse 70% of the travel expenses A travel ticket (flight booking, bus ticket, train ticket,...) can only be reimbursed when it is a legally valid document. For invoices, mark that there need to be: - a name from the company providing the transport (= the buscompagny, the traincompagny, the travel agency,...) We will not reimburse insurance expenses and car expenses The participants should be present for the entire Youth Exchange. Those who do not participate for the total duration of the session will not be reimbursed.
