youthNET aims at the development of sustainable relationships, co-operation and joint projects in the areas of youth, informal and intercultural education and school education in Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine but also between these countries and other countries in Europe. Aims of the Contact Seminar
The main aim of the seminar is to promote international youth work as an extra tool for inclusion of young people into society. The focus of the seminar is using artistic methods in order to reach youth on the edge of society
Objectives:
- to exchange ideas, methods and good practice in the work field of the participants
- to initiate long term cooperation between represented organisations by setting up common projects
- to increase knowledge of realities and cultural understanding between Eastern and Western European citizens
- to promote the YOUTH Programme as a tool for inclusion
The Contact Making Seminar will focus on Action 1 Youth Exchange (Gruppeutveksling)and Action 5 Support Measures (Oppl¿ring, informasjon og nettverk) of the YOUTH Programme of the European Commission. As a follow up youthNET expects that participants prepare and submit concrete project proposals to respective YOUTH National Agencies.
International Fair: Inclusion through Art:
The International Fair “Inclusion though Art” will be a public open air event in the city centre of Wroclaw, where 30 organisations from the seminar and 20 local organisations will present actively their methods of work to the local youth and to each other.
The fair is meant as a broad platform for:
International participants are expected to present their organisation and their projects actively at this forum.
Who can participate?
Youth workers and youth leaders of organisations who are using artistic methods in their work with young people in order to include them into society.
The following countries are eligible:
30 places for participants are available! You will be informed if you are chosen for participation at the latest 28th April 2006. With the positive answer you will receive a detailed info letter.
Working Language
The seminar will be held in ENGLISH language!
Costs
Expenses for travel, accommodation, meals and participation in the seminar will be covered 100 % by Interkulturelles Zentrum/youthNET. Travel costs for participants will be reimbursed only after the seminar as soon as they have sent back to Interkulturelles Zentrum receipts and original travel tickets.
