Mobile Games Scroll is a curated weekly roundup of the hottest news from gaming-on-the-go.

After releasing last year and making it onto our best mobile games of 2020 list, Sky: Children of the Light is kicking off the new year with a season of fresh content this week.

The update, dubbed the Season of Dreams, follows the emotional story of a young skater who aims to perform at the kingdom's coliseum. Memories scattered about the village show the skater's plight as players view moments from training to the final performance. The start of the new season introduces the Village of Dreams and Hermit Valley, two new explorable locations in the realm. There players can find the season guide and four retired mentors who offer multiple lessons on perfecting performances.

As expected with a new update, the Season of Dreams adds four new expressions including showdance, peek, spin trick and bear hug. Cosmetics and outfits get some love as well with four four new masks, four new capes, one new hairstyle, two new headwear, two new pants, one new musical instrument, two new music sheets and a season pendant.

Those interested in giving Sky a try should know the mobile game is "free-to-start" and all features included in the Season of Dreams can be activated by purchasing the Season Pass for $9.99 or by gifting the three-pack bundle for $19.99.
